Steam Game Review: Wrack (2014)

"Wrack" is an action packed science fiction themed first person shooting game for the PC.  This game is set in the future where the world is at peace and science has reached it's peak and is at an golden era.  Sadly not everybody is sure that the peace will last as a girl named Starlyn believes that the Earth shouldn't let it's guard down due to peace as they are left open to an attack.  Kain (Starlyn's father and main character of the game) disagrees with her and tells her not to worry but Starlyn would soon be proven right as planet Earth becomes under attack.  Who'd attack Earth at a time like this you say?  Evil lizard men with guns and giant robots that is.  It's not a simple case of crazy invasion for the sake of having a crazy invasion as there is a mastermind behind this attack and that mastermind is an evil cyborg doctor named EXO.  The reasons for EXO's attack is very unclear but rest assure Kain will put a stop to him by kicking ass with a powerful sword that is powered by inner-strength...  And a shotgun full of lead.  It's a warm classic styled FPS in this cold militaristic modern FPS world.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

Movie Review: Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is an sci-fi action comedy film based off the Marvel comic book series of the same name. This film starts off in the year 1988 where we see a kid named Peter Quill sitting in a hospital listening to a mix-tape his mother had made. The reason why he is in the hospital is because his mother is suffering from cancer and is on her deathbed. His mother ends up passing away and leaves him very sad so he runs out crying (understandably so). While he is outside he gets taken by a huge spaceship and then we jump forward twenty-six years later to the year of 2014 A.D. AKA this year that we are currently living in.  Peter has grown up and is now a space treasure hunter going under the nickname of Star Lord (played by Chris Pratt). Star Lord is going through some ruins and battles some small "Space Dinosaurs" and comes across a special item. Star Lord isn't alone as he is attacked by some weird warriors but Star Lord manages to escape. Those weird looking warriors end up being the men of an evil being known as Ronan the Accuser (played by Lee Pace) and he is mad as he needs that item to give to his leader named Thanos (yes, that Thanos) and sends out Thanos' adopted daughter, Gamora (played by Zoe Saldana) to retrieve the item. (More about what this film is about plus the rest of the review can be found by clicking the "Read More" button).

Album Review: Momoiro Clover Z - Moon Pride (Sailor Moon Crystal Theme) CD/Blu-Ray Combo Pack (2014)

Hey folks, Kaiser here and I just got something exciting in the mail that I thought I'd give my thoughts on. The item I got (if you haven't read the title by now) was a CD released by a band called "Momoiro Clover Z", while this is the first time that I've ever heard of this band (although I may have heard their work before and have not noticed it) I didn't get it because of the band but more for the show it was promoting. The reason why I got this was because this CD is a single of the theme song of the latest Sailor Moon series: "Sailor Moon Crystal (2014)". As my friends, family, and some fans know, I'm a huge Sailor Moon fan so I couldn't help but to raid my wallet and pay the crazy price of $25 for this item. My impressions of this item can be read after the jump. (Click "Read More" to read the full article).

Kaiser's Ring: Wrestlerock (2006)

Welcome to the first ever edition of "Kaiser's Ring".  In this special segment I'll be reviewing wrestling DVD/VHS/Blu-Ray/Digital/ETC. found in my collection.  Seeing it's from my collection you'll see reviews covering a broad amount of wrestling companies as one edition might be about an old WWE PPV like "Unforgiven 2003 (2003), one edition might cover some obscure title like "I Like to Hurt People (1985), and one edition might cover a sleazy girl on girl "Oil Wrestling" event from Japan (believe me I have looked into it).

On this first edition I'll be reviewing a wrestling event that took place right here in Australia from all the way back in 2006.  This event is called Wrestlerock and what is Wrestlerock?  Wrestlerock is an event that takes place in bars and not only will you see some gnitty gritty wrestling but this event also has rock concerts from the biggest tribute bands the World has to offer.  Drinking, fighting, rocking, wrestling, this is Wrestlerock.  (Click "Read More" to read the review).

Blu-Ray Review: Masters of The Universe (1987) Cinema Cult Edition (Blu-Ray)

"Masters of the Universe" is not only a sci-fi fantasy action film but it is also a live action adaptation of the "He-Man" series. The film starts off with an epic opening with Evil-Lyn (played by "Meg Foster") looking out of Skeletor's home base to where Skeletor (played by "Frank Langella") is planning an all-out attack to take over Eternia and he has also kidnapped a Sorceress to help give him the upper-hand. While Skeletor is making his epic speech while projected all across the land we are introduced to the heroes of this film: He-Man (played by Dolph Lundren of "Rocky IV (1985)" fame), Teela (played by "Chelsea Field"), and Man-At-Arms (played by "Jon Cypher"). While on their way to battle Skeletor they rescue a little goblin-esk creature named Gwildor (played by "Billy Barty"). Turns out the reason why Skeletor is after Gwildor is because of one of Gwildor's inventions that can create a portal that can travel to any planet in any galaxy but Skeletor took one of the two models that he had made. Shortly after we have our heroes travel to battle Skeletor in an epic fight only to find themselves in trouble and the way they get out of it is that they used Gwildor's device to get out of there. The planet our heroes end up on is one that is one that we are all very familiar with and that planet is Earth. We then cut to a burger joint to where we are introduced to yet another hero named Julia Winston (played by "Courteney Cox" (of "Friends (1994 - 2004) fame). Julia is fed up with her life in the town that she lives in and wants to move away and right before she moves she goes to visit a graveyard to mourn the death of her parents. While at the graveyard her ex-boyfriend finds something near her parents grave and it is none other than Gwildor's device and then all hell breaks loose. (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

We talk about games we played and how much EA as a restaurant would suck.

Steam Game Review: Bardbarian (2014)

"Bardbarian" is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) game mixed in with some tower defense elements. The game itself is about a character named "Bardbarian" who is a barbarian with an axe that doubles up as an axe and by that I mean a real mean guitar (you see what I did there?). Bardbarian has a job to do and that is to defend the town that he lives in and it's gem from an army of monsters that are all hell bent on destroying it any way they can. Lucky for the town Bardbarian isn't just a great musician and warrior but he is also a great leader with a helpful army on his side ranging from classes such as: Magicians, Ninjas, Swordsmen, Healers, Mechanics, Necromancers, Witchdoctors, and many more. So grab your golden guitar ax... Or maybe just a keyboard or a controller as this is the day we go to war that will hopefully end before dinner time. This is Bardbarian! (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

Steam Game Review: Kami (2014)

Kami is a puzzle game that has the player trying to turn a field full of multiple different colors into one solid color in an limited amount of moves. The way you try to clear these colors or patterns is that you have a selection of colors on the bottom of the screen and you click on one of those colors and then click on a color that is different from the one you have picked. Once clicked the panel and all the other ones of that same color that are attached to the one that you clicked will change too.  That is it and there is no story to this game but just classic puzzling action. (Click "Read More" to read the full review after the jump).

DVD Review: Pokemon - Origins (2013)

Pokemon: Origins is a special four part animated mini-series based on the highest selling video games: "Pokemon: Red Version (1998)" and "Pokemon: Blue Version (1998)". The story starts off with Professor Oak giving his famous opening speech about the world of Pokemon. Not long after we are introduced to  two Pokemon trainers named Red and Blue. Red is the main hero of this series whos goal is to catch every single Pokemon known to mankind. Blue is the more arrogant one whos goal is to become the strongest trainer that has ever lived. While at Professor Oak's lab Red and Blue are given a task by Professor Oak himself to gather as much information about Pokemon as they can as the good ol' Professor is getting a bit too old to travel. In return Professor Oak offers Red and Blue a Pokemon each to help them on their journey. Red ends up picking Charmander (a little dragon with a flame growing on it's tail) while Blue decides to take advantage and pick a water type pokemon named Squirtle (a little blue turtle). Thus begins the epic journey of Red and Blue but will they be successful and reach their goal? (Click "Read More" to read the full review).
