Its cool that you are getting into the Famicom. Tell me what that pirate game collection is like. would be sweet to see!

I have been playing Super Famicom exclusives, where the rom was fantranslated like the first Front Mission, Seiken Densetsu 3 and Star Ocean. All excellent games for sure. I know there are also quite alot of Famicom exclusives too.

Speaking of Dragon Warrior a couple of weeks ago I played alot of the first Phantasy Star on the Master System. While very grindy (as were pretty much all RPG's at the time) it has been alot of fun, and I can digged the Fantasy/Sci Fi feel they were going for. There is a bunch of heavy nods to Star Wars in there too, which I found cool. Either way, Im close to finishing it, but got a bit burned out on it. Will finish. One long session should do it.

You talked about the Genesis being your current fave (other then the Famicom) for oldschool gaming needs. I have enjoyed alot myself, and the Master System is another one that I can recommend. There are some fun games on that system that are worth a look.

I need to check out DoDon Pachi, looks like Bullet Hell lol, but does look cool. I have finally tried out Parodius on the Snes, and loved it. I know now where Kaiser got his theme song, lol. Since I played quite a bit of Gradius 3, I could get right in since its a parody. I need to figure out how to defeat the stripper boss, one day, lol!

I may try my hand in Raiden 3 and join the fun.

I know it is at this point a inside Meme, but I still think Tyrrian 2000 is my favorite shmup. There are some really quality shmups on Steam from Astro Port that are cool. I think you got some of them too.

Yeah Youtube nowdays is for "Everydaybros" these days. Im on a break myself, however I wanna get back, for stuff I want to do. I do youtube to get to know people with similar interests, and I met alot of cool dudes this way. I still every 3 months a raging fanboy upset at my Guts VS Dante Virtual Warrior episode, eventough I did a rematch. The cringe is real, and it has reached the 6th spacial dimension, lol.

Im happy you are still here making vids and podcasts man. I love to listen to them in bulk as play some games (Might and Magic 6 at the moment). And it is good to hear that you have enjoyment making them too. They are an archive, they bring back many cool memories, as cringey as they are.

    Anyway Question of the Beast:
Are there any good Doom Wads you recommend? I tried some out back in the Zandronum days, but would like to try more.
